The majority of LOTT’s employees work in the Facilities Division and report to the Budd Inlet Treatment Plant (BITP). They are responsible for maintaining and operating the BITP and LOTT’s other facilities. These staff members are assigned to management or to the Operations, Maintenance, or Process Control System sections.
Each workgroup has a variety of positions ranging from entry-level to highly skilled journey-level workers, as well as support and supervisory staff. Thirty-five of the treatment plant employees are represented by the Washington Council of County and City Employees, Council 2 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) labor union.
LOTT’s Administrative Office houses the Administration, Community Relations and Environmental Policy, and Engineering Divisions, which provide finance, community relations, planning, environmental permitting and compliance, human resources, network administration, legal, and engineering support for the utility. Staff work closely together, on a daily basis, to achieve the goals of each division.
